Paul Bragg: starvation. How far would you go to lose weight?

I would like to discuss Paul Bragg today. First, here the list of books he wrote: Apple Cider Vinegar - Miracle Health System; The Miracle of Fasting; The Bragg Healthy Lifestyle; Back Fitness Program; Healthy Heart; Build Powerful Nerve Force; Super Power Breathing; Water, The Shocking Truth; Build Strong Healthy Feet; Vegetarian Health Recipes. Impressing, isn’t? 10 books.

What do we know about him? Refer to his profile at Wikipedia.org. It’s saying that information provided there needed to be verified. First, his date of birth and so on. He lived in years of great depression. I don’t think people cared much of weight loss or healthy lifestyle back then. But somehow he managed not just publish and sell those books but also create a manufacturing company called Bragg Live Foods. By selling brochures and giving free lectures man cannot make money enough to establish manufacturing company. I guess he found sponsor.

Lets move on to his philosophy. I’m going to talk about one of his books - The Miracle of Fasting. He recommends weight loss diet that is extremely effective.

Weight loss bookIt seems to me that every celebrity must write and publish book about healthy food and weight loss. Seriously, not only actors, models or fashion designers have written books but also TV Show hosts, reporters, journalists, etc. Did Oprah Winfrey ever wrote a book about healthy dieting? I hope she did not, otherwise it would be ridiculous. I know, if you look perfectly good and public knows you, it is probably a waste if you don’t write book of your good looking secrets. But not a book of recipes!

Ok, Alli - what is that and what’s it for?

Alli is a weight loss product often called weight loss booster. According to its description Alli has medical license and has been tested and proven effective in boosting weight loss. Description does not say if there are any side effects, so let’s google “Alli side effects”:

DRS. RACHEL & RICHARD HELLER’S

I visited their web site at www.hellers.org Look at these nice people. They are having so much fun together! Scientists, doctors, famous book writers - they are cool people. Does anyone knows they have written several books? One of them is called “The 7-day Low carb rescue and recovery plan” is teaching us about weight loss.

Diets, diets, diets…

I’ve been working on diet web site. Keep adding new diets described in details. But almost 80% of diets worldwide require lots of exercising.

So I think that the biggest problem for people that want to lose weight is that they are lazy to do simple exercises. Most diets describe minimum workouts for better results, thought people still don’t care much of it. Even 15 min walking around your neighborhood would be a great workout! 15 min! And if you will do “windmill” with your hands for like 5 min — that’s great!

Another example, if there is a short distance to nearest gas station/store - walk there, do not use your car! This will save you some gasoline and improve your health! And yes, caring bag back home is a good idea too. Don’t worry about what your neighbors will think of you, they just jealous.

In two words, screw laziness!
